Who Made This Site?

One of our members developed this site for the church's use. If you are interested in having a site like this for basically free ($0) for your ministry, please the church office.

How Was This Site Made?

No need to reinvent the wheel when there are lots of great software solutions already out there, written by people a lot smarter than we. Below is a list of tools/utilities/articles used for free ($0) by this site:

• ESV Popup Javascript: ESV Popup is a Javascript you can use on your website that creates a small popup frame to display Bible verses from the English Standard Version Bible, using Javascript Syndication provided by the nice guys from Good News Publisher/Crossway Bibles. Another tutorial here.
• jQuery: jQuery is a fast and concise JavaScript Library that simplifies HTML document traversing, event handling, animating, and Ajax interactions for rapid web development. jQuery is designed to change the way that you write JavaScript.
• jQuery UI: jQuery UI provides abstractions for low-level interaction and animation, advanced effects and high-level, themeable widgets, built on top of the jQuery JavaScript Library, that you can use to build highly interactive web applications.
• jQuery Tooltip: Display a customized tooltip instead of the default one for every selected element.
• Flowplayer jQuery Tools: jQuery Tools is a collection of the most important user-interface components for modern websites.
• Datejs: An open-source JavaScript date library.
• Generation of web feeds and podcasts: article explaining the creation of a web feed; either in the format of RSS 2.0 or Atom syndication.
• Json.NET: library makes working with JavaScript and JSON formatted data in .NET simple.
• SubSonic: Data access library (ORM)
• UrlRewriter.NET: n open-source, light-weight, highly configurable URL rewriting component for ASP.NET 1.1 and 2.0.
• DataCalendar: article presents a sub-class of the ASP.NET Calendar control, to function as a data-driven display calendar with template support for item layout.
• PDFThumbnail.NET: PDFThumbnail.NET is a 100% .NET ASP.NET control that streams PFD pages as thumbnail images to the browser.
• BlogEngine.NET: an open source .NET blogging project that was born out of desire for a better blog platform. A blog platform with less complexity, easy customization, and one that takes advantage of the latest .NET features. [Not yet implemented]
• Embedded MP3 Audio Player: tutorial on how to embed the Shockwave Flash MP3 player.
• Email.js: Coding email links to avoid spam.
• GoingUp stats counter: The fast and free way to track visitors on your site!
• Feedburner: tracking our RSS and Podcast feeds.
• Janko At Warp Speed: Vimeo-like top menu.
• Templatemo.com: Free CSS Templates
• ASP.NET: Web Development with Power, Productivity and Speed
